AnimalScan strives to maintain the gold standard our predecessors at Iams Pet Imaging created nearly a quarter century ago.  They ventured into the frontier of veterinary MRI imaging to create three of the first veterinary outpatient centers across the U.S.  This required a team the collaboration of the best veterinary anesthesiologists, neurologists, and radiologists to create a standard of care that would enable our teams to achieve diagnostic images, while maintaining patient safety at a level equal or better to that of human medicine.

Because your pet can’t tell us where it hurts and our veterinarians can’t read minds, diagnostics play an extremely important role in veterinary medicine. For this reason, we use high-field, 1.5T MRI machines loaded with some of the most advanced software. This advanced equipment and software enables our radiologists to gain the most information possible during your pet’s scan by providing them with clear, diagnostic images to interpret.  A report will then be provided to your referring veterinarian, and they may collaborate with AnimalScan radiologists to develop an effective treatment plan for your pet.
