Registered Veterinary Technician/Veterinary Assistant

AnimalScan is a MRI center for companion animals providing advanced veterinary imaging in the Redwood City, CA (San Francisco, CA, Fairfax, CA, and Raleigh, NC. We are hiring either full-time or part-time as part at each of the above listed locations. This position requires working as part of the team during the peri-anesthetic period, including restraint, IV catheter placement and assisting with induction, monitoring and recovery from anesthesia. The technical ability including, but not limited to, IV catheter placement, intubation, anesthesia monitoring and understanding of monitoring parameters and calculation of drug doses. Math & computer skills including, Gmail, Google docs, Excel, and Word. The ability to work with and learn electronic medical records, radiology information systems and other skills related to the position. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work as part of a team. Ability to work and interact with referring DVMs and clients in a professional and patient manner with appropriate confidence and discretion. Salary is commensurate with experience.
